The combinational guidance law (denoted CV-2DGOC) created by the combination of the rainbow guidance law and the two-point guidance law considering impact angle proved important specified requirement of guidance accuracy due to maintaining missile kinetic energy or missile speed to produce commanded lateral acceleration. In this paper, the authors show capability of extending the engagement zone because of optimizing trajectory both powered flight phase and unpowered flight phase. Boundaries of engagement zone are determined based on analyzing dynamic of missile guidance closed-loop using traditional lead half angle guidance law and combinational guidance law (CV-2DGOC) in same engagement scenarios. Simulation has been conducted to validate effectiveness of expanding size of engagement zone.
