Abstract

This paper presents a model and an algorithm for solving the dynamic problem of the laminated composite plate resting on two-parameter elastic foundation subjected to moving mass. By using the finite element method and the homogenization theory for the laminated composite plate, the motion equations of composite plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundation subjected to moving mass are established, in which the elastic deformation foundation was modeled as a Pasternak’s elastic foundation. Through the proposed theory and the computed program in MATLAB environment, the numerical results are verified by comparing with other exact publications, and influences of geometrical and material properties such as the fiber angles of the structure, modulus ratio E1/E2 and the elastic foundation stiffnesses c1 and c2, etc., on the dynamic behaviours of the structure are investigated.
