Abstract

This paper presents several research results about the influence of percentage of raw materials on important characteristics of the delay mixture based on copper oxide and silicon such as heat of combustion, specific volume of gaseous products, combustion temperature. Analysing computed results and experimental data show that this delay pyrotechnic has high combustion heat and temperature of combustion wavefront, “gasless”, safety with thermal impulse. Its burning rate is 9.6 mm/s at 2.2 g/cm3 of density.
