The article focuses on the establishment of a mathematical model for the interior ballistics of an amphibious rifle using a thermodynamic approach. The object of this paper is the amphibious rifle based on the operation of gas-operated weapons. The interior ballistic model was applied to the 5.56 mm amphibious rifle and solved by using MATLAB environment. The computed results are compared and validated by the measured muzzle velocity in three types of equipment systems when shooting in the air.
